Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GoFillr, operated by Fox Byte Development LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you use the GoFillr Chrome extension and related services at www.gofillr.com.

GoFillr is a Chrome extension that helps you autofill job application forms from a profile you save. It has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. You always review the form and submit the application yourself. GoFillr does not submit applications on your behalf.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use GoFillr, we may process:

Profile and application data you provide

Information you enter or upload so the extension can autofill forms. You can save up to 5 separate profiles on Pro (one on Free). Each profile may include:

• Contact details (name, email, phone, address, links such as LinkedIn)
• Work history, education, skills, and related profile fields
• Work authorization and similar employment eligibility answers
• Optional EEO / demographic answers you choose to save
• Salary expectations, if you choose to save them
• Custom responses you save for reuse
• A resume or CV file for that profile, and the text and fields we extract from it when you upload it

Account and authentication data

If you sign in with Google (via Chrome's identity APIs), we receive the authentication information needed to create or access your account, such as your name, email address, and Google account ID, and to sync your profiles.

Usage and device / extension data

Product analytics and reliability events (for example: onboarding steps, autofill attempted / succeeded / failed, paywall interactions). These help us understand how the product works and improve it. They are not sold as personal data.

Payment and subscription data

If you purchase Pro, payment is handled by our billing provider, ExtensionPay, and processed by Stripe. We receive the subscription / plan status needed to unlock paid features, and may receive the email address you paid with. We do not receive or store your card number or other full payment card details. We do not run a Buy Pro checkout on the marketing website; upgrades happen inside the extension.

Information from pages you ask us to autofill

When you request an autofill on a supported careers or application page, content scripts in the extension read form fields on that page so we can fill them with your saved profile. That interaction happens at your request for the purpose of autofill. We do not browse the web on your behalf outside that use.

Job descriptions

If you use a feature that compares your profile with a job posting, we process the text of the job description on the page you are viewing. See Section 3.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Provide autofill and the profiles you save
• Sync your profiles and their resume files across devices when you are signed in
• Parse a resume you upload, so we can fill in your profile fields from it
• Compare your saved profile with a job posting when you use features that do so (see below)
• Process Pro subscriptions and show the correct plan state, including locking extra profiles after a downgrade
• Measure product performance and reliability
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain security and prevent abuse

Comparing your profile with a job posting. When you use a feature that compares your saved GoFillr profile with a job description, the extension sends the job description text and only the following profile fields to our Resume API:

• Skills
• Work experience: job title, company, start and end dates, whether the role is current, and description
• Education: degree type, major, and graduation year
• Location: city, state, and country
• Work authorization
• Whether you require visa sponsorship

The request never includes your contact information, EEO / demographic answers, salary information, account credentials, or your resume file.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Where information is stored and which processors we use

We use the following storage locations and service providers to operate GoFillr. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Chrome local storage (chrome.storage.local): keeps a local copy of your profiles on the browser where the extension is installed.
• Supabase: cloud storage and sync for your account, your profiles (up to 5), and the resume file saved with each profile, when you are signed in.
• Google Sign-In (via chrome.identity): authentication so you can sign in and access your synced profiles.
• Resume API (hosted on Railway at https://api-production-5aca1.up.railway.app): processes resumes you upload so we can parse them into profile fields, and processes requests that compare your profile with a job posting.
• OpenAI: the Resume API uses OpenAI's API to read and parse resumes you upload into profile fields. It may also use OpenAI's API to process requests that compare your profile with a job posting.
• Mixpanel: product analytics, usage and reliability events.
• ExtensionPay and Stripe: Pro subscription checkout, payment processing, and billing status (in-extension only). Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by GoFillr.

Saved job-site sign-in details. Passwords you save for job-site accounts are encrypted on your device before GoFillr stores them, and are decrypted only inside the extension when you view, edit, or fill them.

These providers may process data on servers outside your country. We rely on them to operate GoFillr. For details on how each provider handles data, see their own privacy policies.

Retention. We keep account, profile, and resume data for as long as your account is active, or until you delete it or ask us to delete it. Locked profiles (profiles 2–5 after a downgrade from Pro) are kept, not deleted, so they can unlock if you resubscribe, unless you delete them or ask us to. We may keep limited records longer where needed for legitimate operational or legal reasons (for example, billing records).

5. Chrome permissions and site access

GoFillr requests Chrome permissions and host access only as needed to:

• Store your profiles locally
• Sign you in with Google when you choose
• Run on supported job-application pages so it can detect and fill forms when you ask
• Talk to the services listed above

We do not use browsing activity for advertising networks or sell it.

6. Sharing

We share information only:

• With the processors listed above, solely to operate and improve GoFillr
• If required by law or to protect rights and safety
• With your direction (for example, if you ask support to look into an account issue)

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Your controls

• View, edit, or delete your profiles and their resume files in the extension.
• Uninstall the extension to remove locally stored profile data from that browser. Uninstalling does not delete your cloud account or cancel Pro.
• Delete your account and data: email support@foxbytedev.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your account. We will delete your account and the profiles, resume files, and other data we hold for it within 30 days of verifying your request, and confirm by email. Some records may be kept where the law requires it or for billing (for example, records held by ExtensionPay and Stripe).
• Access or correction: email support@foxbytedev.com to ask for a copy of, or a correction to, the cloud account and profile data we control.
• Analytics: you can also use browser and OS privacy controls; some analytics providers offer their own opt-out mechanisms.
• Payments: manage or cancel Pro through the ExtensionPay / in-extension billing flow.

8. Children's privacy

GoFillr is not directed at children under 16, and you must be at least 16 to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@foxbytedev.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of GoFillr after changes means you accept the updated policy.
